Toast Hawaii. Kindheitserinnerung. Ich fand Ananas ekelig, also habe ich immer nur Toast mit Kochschinken und Käse bekommen.

Jahr(zehnt)elang nie über Toast Hawaii nachgedacht.

Über 30 Jahre später lesen wir Die Schule der magischen Tiere. Endlich Ferien 3: Henry und Leander. Herny happens to be rich. Ferien auf dem Schloss bei Oma und Opa. Er freut sich, weil Butler Fred die besten Toast Hawaii macht.

“Papa, was ist Toast Hawaii?” - Also essen wir eines abends Toast Hawaii. Alle finden’s gut.

Gestern, ich laufe einen langen Lauf, höre ich: Sebastian Krumbiegel bei ‘Zeit Podcasts: Und was machst du am Wochenende?. Und er redet an manchen Stellen schön und gut über Toast Hawaii.

70 years ago (a bit more): My mom is born.

70 years from now: My kids and their cousins will still be alive. I won’t. Climate in north-western Gemany has a good chance of being like today’s southern France. Germany’s population, on current trajectory, will be down to 70 million.

Nigeria will have grown from 400 million today to over 800 million. This will make it the second most populous country in the world, after India, which will then have 1.5 billion people.

China will likely have declined to around 700 million people (10*70).

The USA will have grown to approximately 400 million.

Good news

I’ve used php tutorials to build a very poorly but yet self-written mini-blog-engine 25 years ago. That went out of action many years ago. I sometimes feel the urge to leave something behind on the internet that has my name on it and I consider worth sharing.

I like the fediverse. I heard about this on hanselminutes.com/983/micro… So I signed up. I still need to link it to my andreasschnieders.de domain that I still keep but have nothing had behind for many years.

I like the idea of sharing good news in these times of constant bad news and disinformation.

I like the idea of sharing about good purchases, things that I like and that last and how I got to have them.

I like the idea of sharing good content. Authentic stuff. Honest and unpretentious conversations of honest people.

Let’s see where this takes me and if it sticks at all.
